Cliff Ridge, Winter

Cliff Ridge, Winter - North York Moors
Stunning winter light and a pristine blanked of fresh snow covering Roseberry Topping.

Totally unexpected if I’m honest. We had several hours of blizzard conditions. These finally abated around 2pm so I took Barney, our spaniel, for a walk up the hill. I suspecting the snow would be nice and crisp higher up and I wasn’t disappointed. It was lovely to see all the trees plastered in snow and ice. What I wasn’t expecting was a band of clear sky stretching across the western horizon. Once I’d dropped Barney home I couldn’t resist a dash back up the hill with camera to see what would happen at sunset. Running up there nearly killed me but it was definitely worth the effort!
